LATEST NEWS

PIPS Training recently launched our new programme "Preventing Suicides in Older People" at Ardoyne and Shankill Healthy Living Centre.  We developed this training to raise awareness of suicides in the older population - a big problem which often goes unrecognised.  The training looks at the reasons why an older person may become depressed and experience thoughts of hopelessness as well as providing practical advice on what to do if you are concerned about an older person.

The training was a success with a good turnout of particpants from a range of backgrounds.

Many thanks to all who attended and to Ardoyne & Shankill Healthy Living Centre for their support.  For more information on the "Preventing Suicides in Older People" training programme please contact Clare on 02890 287 836 or clare@pipstraining.co.uk

"If you want to promote suicide prevention in your community why not
raise money for PIPS Training? Fundraising for PIPS Training will help
us to train more people in vital suicide prevention skills and will
help us to achieve our vision of having a pool of people in every
community who can look out for risks of suicide in others.

Fundraising ideas could include:
doing a sponsored swim, walk or marathon
holding a quiz night, disco or coffee morning
organising a fundraising event in your school or workplace
