Make Suicide Prevention YOUR BUSINESS!
Anyone aged 16 plus is welcome to
take part in PIPS suicide prevention training. If you can give up a few
hours of your time you will learn valuable skills which may save someone's
life. Past participants on our training include:
Many ordinary
people - like you! Community workers and volunteers from across the
region Staff and volunteers from 3rd sector organisations including Age
Concern, NIAMH, Home Start, Opportunity Youth, Include Youth, Citizen's
Advice Bureau, MS Society, Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children,
Healthy Living Centres, Rethink, Sure Start, Simon Community, and Victim
Support Teachers from various primary and post primary schools and
Alternative Education Providers across the region Frontline staff at
Northern Regional College and Belfast Metropolitan College Student
mentors at Ulidia Integrated College Trainee teachers from both Stranmillis
and St Mary's Colleges Youth workers employed by BELB and Belfast City
Council Young people working with Belfast City Council's Youth Forum and Prince's Trust Job Centre staff from across the region Police
officers GPs Student advisors from BMC, QUB and UU
